Lead Workshop
Dominik Nüssen joined Herzog & de Meuron for an internship in 2008 working on the first Roche tower in Basel and the Tate Modern extension in London. Returning to the practice in 2013 he worked as an architect in the Design Technologies department, solving complex geometries for various teams with computational design tools. Over time, he shifted his focus towards digital fabrication and sustainable construction, offering long-term support for multiple projects, such as Bélair-Monange, Stadtcasino and Grand Canal Museum. Since 2019, he has been leading the Workshop team within the Design Technologies department, with a strong emphasis on data intelligence and CNC fabrication. In addition to his role, Dominik also maintains a collaborative relationship with multiple universities, promoting knowledge exchange between practice, industry and academia.
Dominik is a trained draftsman and received his architecture diploma in 2012 from MSA | Münster School of Architecture, Germany. After graduation he worked at the Chair of Information Architecture at ETH Zürich and the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore as a research assistant.
