The Holterberg District project is a masterplan situated in the Southeast (Zuidoost) of Amsterdam, aiming to transform a 29-hectare light industrial site into a vibrant mixed-use urban district. This development will feature 5,500 to 8,000 homes, workplaces, public facilities, and a large central park. The current light industrial uses have been integrated into the masterplan. Over the coming years, the Holterberg District will undergo significant densification, evolving from a mono-functional site into a lively area that integrates work, living, and recreational spaces. This transformation presents an opportunity to enhance connectivity between the site, the city, and the broader Amsterdam-Zuidoost region. The new district will encompass a variety of zones, each with its own distinct atmosphere, including a compact business cluster, a dynamic and highly urban work and innovation environment, as well as quieter areas with parks and green spaces.
