Herzog & de Meuron

Olga Bolshanina is a Partner at Herzog & de Meuron. She has been responsible for a variety of large-scale international projects, including the urban plan concept for Lyon-Confluence, the Skolkovo District Master Plan, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, and the Badaevskiy Brewery redevelopment in Moscow. Currently, Olga is in charge of numerous architectural and urban projects including the Mered Riviera Residences in Abu Dhabi, Aman Group’s Janu Dubai, and the Ronquoz 21 urban plan in Sion. In addition to her project responsibilities, Olga is a member of Herzog & de Meuron’s Executive Board.

Alongside Olga’s work on a wide range of typologies including cultural, educational and research facilities, hospitality and residential developments, heritage transformation projects and urban planning in Europe, China, Mexico, Russia, and the Middle East, she has also led several international competitions.

Olga began her studies at the Tomsk School of Architecture and Engineering and received her master’s degree from the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2007. She first joined the Basel office in 2004 as an intern and returned as an architect directly after her studies.
