Maria Krasteva

Maria Krasteva joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2013 as an intern in Basel, then moved to London in 2014 to continue her architectural studies while working part-time on the One Park Drive residential tower project at our UK office. After earning her Master of Architecture degree in 2016, she returned to our Basel office to work on several projects of diverse scales and typologies with a focus on interior design. These include the Royal College of Art in London, Lusail Museum in Doha, and Tour Triangle in Paris.

Maria was appointed Lead of Interiors in July 2023 and became an Associate in 2025. Maria also collaborates intensively on selected projects, including Les Trois Rois Hotel in Basel and the Cristallo Hotel in the Dolomites. Recently, she managed a new retail project for the Swedish fashion brand Toteme in Beijing, China.

Maria studied architecture at Nottingham University and UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture. Before joining Herzog & de Meuron, she collaborated with Dixon Jones in London.
