Olga Bolshanina

Olga Bolshanina is an Associate Partner at Herzog & De Meuron since 2020. She first joined the Basel office in 2004 as an intern. Since returning as an Architect in 2007, she has been responsible for numerous international projects, such as the Concept Master Plan for Lyon-Confluence in France, the Barranca Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Guadalajara, Mexico, Skolkovo District Master Plan, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, and Badaevskiy Brewery redevelopment in Moscow, Russia. Currently, she is in charge of a variety of architectural and urban projects, including the masterplan Ronquoz 21 in Sion, Switzerland.

Alongside her work on a wide range of typologies including cultural, educational and research facilities, hospitality and residential developments, heritage transformation projects, and masterplans in Europe, China, Mexico, Russia, and the Middle East, she has also led several international competitions.

Olga began her studies at the Tomsk School of Architecture and Engineering, and in 2007 received her master’s degree from the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne, Switzerland.
