Herzog & de Meuron

Thorben Bazlen joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2017, becoming an Associate in 2025. He had a leading role on several projects such as the The Verse, a large-scale office building in Munich; the La Saleggina hospital competition in Bellinzona; and the Seoripul Open Art Storage competition, a collective archive and civic space for Seoul. Thorben is currently overseeing a diverse range of international competitions across Europe and beyond.

Thorben graduated with a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Stuttgart under Prof. Markus Allmann in 2013. Prior to joining Herzog & de Meuron he collaborated with OMA in Rotterdam and Hong Kong.
