Herzog & de Meuron

Kwamina joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2011 and became Associate in 2019. He began his work at our London office on the Tate Modern Project, Switch House extension. In 2013 he became Project Manager, leading design translation and technical delivery of the construction aspects of the extension. After relocating to Basel in 2016 he worked on the competition for the Royal College of Art in Battersea. In 2017 he relocated to our Hong Kong office to complete the interior architecture design development, coordination and construction documentation phase for M+.

Kwamina earned his BA (Hons) degree in Architecture in the UK at the School of Architecture in Hull in 1996 and completed postgraduate studies at Oxford Brookes University in 2000. Prior to joining Herzog & de Meuron, he worked for the UK offices of Foster & Partners, Amanda Levete Architects, Future Systems, Ian Simpson Architects, Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, Horden Cherry Lee Architects, and in Kuala Lumpur, Ngoim Partnership.
