Mehmet Noyan started his collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron in 2007, with the high-rise building 56 Leonard Street in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood, focusing on the façade design. He then transitioned to lead the alteration of the exterior of the historic Park Avenue Armory as well as leading the façade packages for the Pérez Art Museum and 1111 Lincoln Road Penthouse, in South Beach, Miami. Following these successful projects, Mehmet returned to 56 Leonard Street as Project Manager in 2011, and then Associate in 2015, to oversee the completion of the construction of the building. At the same time, traveling frequently across the U.S, Mehmet helped develop and oversee the construction of the interiors of a private home renovation in Los Angeles; as well as playing a central role in the systems coordination and façade development of a private residence in New York as Project Manager in 2020; whilst remodeling the New York Office in 2019. Mehmet is currently the Project Director for both Calder Gardens in Philadelphia along with a student center in New England.
Mehmet’s experience in overseeing projects of all scales and his ability to successfully work in a variety of cultures and geographic locations speaks to his enthusiasm for the field.
Mehmet attended Bilkent University in Ankara from 1990 to 1994. He continued his master’s studies at Syracuse University School of Architecture from 1995 to 1998. Prior to joining Herzog & de Meuron he worked on various projects in San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York, where he is a licensed architect.
