Alexa Nürnberger

Alexa Nürnberger is a Senior Associate at Herzog & de Meuron. She joined the company in 2006 with a strong focus on large-scale international urban and architectural projects such as Lyon Confluence, Burgos Bulevar, and the New Headquarters for BBVA in Madrid. Alexa worked on various competitions and studies before focusing on the management of complex institutional projects beginning with berlin modern in its early phases. Since 2019 she has dedicated her time to FORUM UZH at the University of Zurich.

Alongside her role as an architect, Alexa convincingly and precisely communicates our work within H&dM, with project stakeholders and to the wider public. She also serves on juries for international competitions.

Alexa studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, and the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), Spain, graduating with a Diploma of Architecture from TUM in 2001. She collaborated with Mateo Arquitectura in Barcelona in 2002-2003. Alexa continued her studies with a focus on urban design at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam in 2004-2005 and became a registered architect in 2005.
