ZURICH, SWITZERLAND — The Kinderspital ZĂŒrich received two honors from the City of ZĂŒrich. KISPI, which opened last fall, was awarded the ‘Auszeichnung fĂŒr gute Bauten’ (Award for Good Buildings) and the public audience award.

“This special recognition from the people of Zurich is particularly meaningful to us,” said Michael Grotzer, Medical Director of the Kinderspital. “It shows that our new children’s hospital in Lengg is not only architecturally impressive, but also embraced and appreciated by citizens, patients, and their parents, grandparents, and relatives as a place of healing, security, and hope.”

Grotzer accepted the awards alongside Oliver Sack, Managing Director of the Eleonorenstiftung, landscape architects Margrit KĂŒnzel and Leo Senn, as well as associates Milou Teeling and Mark BĂ€hr from H&dM.

The awards have been presented by the City of Zurich for more than 80 years. Held every five years, they recognize buildings of outstanding quality in urban planning, architecture, social value, and sustainability.
