SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – ‘Basel Week’ was held for the third time in Seoul, as part of the ongoing collaboration between Basel and Seoul. Associate Jackie Bae joined a panel at the Swiss Embassy to discuss public space design in both cities, exploring lessons from Seoul’s flexible, vertical, mixed-use architecture. The session was opened by Basel-Stadt Mayor Conradin Cramer, who highlighted the value of mutual learning between the two cities.

Timed to coincide with the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, the program included site and university visits, as well as meetings with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, continuing the cities’ ongoing dialogue on urban and architectural topics. As part of the Biennale, projects in Basel were presented including our work for Dreispitz Nord and the Meret Oppenheim Tower.
