New CEO at Herzog & de Meuron

BASEL, SWITZERLAND – We are pleased to announce that Senior Partner Wim Walschap has been appointed CEO of Herzog & de Meuron at the start of May, succeeding Adrian Keller, who served as CEO since 2017.

Wim leads with a structured, decisive approach shaped by decades of international experience and strong relationships across design, construction and development industries.

Alongside his architectural work on projects of varying scales and typologies including M+ in Hong Kong, One Park Drive in London, and Hauptpost Basel, Wim has held several leadership roles within the practice. Having served on the Executive Board since 2019 and the Strategic Board since 2023, Wim now takes on the role of CEO to help shape our strategic and operational direction. Wim’s appointment as CEO reflects the shared responsibility of the Partner group, together with Founding Partners Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, to actively guide the company while ensuring continuity, stability, and its long-term development.
