Villa Roccabruna, dating from the 18th century, has a privileged location in the resort with stunning views of Lago di Como. It has undergone numerous renovations that disrupted the harmony between its rooms, resulting in a mix of styles and a partial loss of its original character.

The project restored historical elements — preserving the existing parquet and extending it in the Vestibule as it was in the 18th century, and installing handmade blown glass chandeliers, taking advantage of local manufacturing skill. Existing features have been reused, such as the stone at the bar, supplemented with a newly crafted brass counter.

The bistro was once lined with tapestries depicting landscape motifs. In collaboration with Venetian textile company Rubelli, we developed custom jacquard panels based on 18th-century Lake Como landscapes by Josef Rebell, translating historical paintings into embroidered textiles. Tests ensured colors are true to the lake and its vegetation.
