WKCD International Press Day at M+

HONG KONG – Today is the International Press Day of the West Kowloon Cultural District, running in parallel with Art Basel Hong Kong. This is the first official occasion for an international audience and press to visit and experience M+ since its opening during the pandemic in 2021. M+, a museum for visual culture, modern and contemporary art, design, architecture, and the moving image, embraces the entire spectrum of spaces, means of display, and activities related to exhibiting and viewing these media. ­Above all, M+ is a public forum, a built platform for the exchange, encounter and activity of people and art.

Herzog & de Meuron and the Jacques Herzog und Pierre de Meuron Kabinett, Basel announced a donation to M+ of various process materials from key projects in Asia and beyond. The donation marks the first cultural institution in Asia to receive a donation from Herzog & de Meuron, now joining The Museum of Modern Art and Centre Pompidou. On Tuesday, March 21st, Jacques Herzog will give a keynote lecture on the Grand Stair to open the Prada Frames symposium.
