Sixth&Blanco Groundbreaking Ceremony

AUSTIN, U.S.A. – Sixth&Blanco celebrated its groundbreaking with an event attended by guests from the local community, H&dM team members Lukasz Szlachcic, Richard Nelson-Chow, and Carly Dean, as well as representatives from Riverside, MML Hospitality, Flintco, and Page. The ceremony marked the start of construction for the mass timber development. The project is Herzog & de Meuron’s first in Texas and aims to set new standards in sustainable urban living.

Sixth&Blanco is a mixed-use real estate development located at the intersection of West 6th Street and Blanco Street in one of Austin’s most desirable neighborhoods. The project encompasses a full city block of mixed-use, infill development adjacent to downtown and the Colorado River. It will feature ten private residences, a 57-key hotel, modern amenities, retail, art galleries, and restaurants.
