CAMBRIDGE & NEW YORK, USA – Jacques Herzog will be speaking at both Harvard and Columbia universities this week. On Tuesday, April 21st, Jacques joins Harvard GSD Chair and Professor of Architecture Grace La for a conversation spanning a wide range of work, both old and new, covering topics from individual perception to materiality to the relationship between process and authorship. This year’s John Hejduk Soundings Lecture marks Jacques’ return to the GSD after his last talk, “…hardly finished work…” in 2016. The sold-out event runs from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm and will be livestreamed through a link on the GSD website here.

On Thursday, April 23rd, Jacques will be speaking with the Dean Andrés Jaque at Columbia GSAPP as the John Foerster ’64 Fund Lecturer. Their talk will focus on selected New York City projects, including both the built and the unbuilt, from Astor Place to Leonard Street – with a short detour down to Calder Gardens in Philadelphia. This talk marks over twelve years since Jacques’ last lecture at the GSAPP, “Myths and Collaborations over Time.” The event, also sold-out for in-person viewing, runs from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm and will be livestreamed through a link on the GSAPP website here.
