800 It’s a Wrap – Complete Works 1 to 6

BASEL, SWITZERLAND, 26 October 2020 – Volume 5 of Complete Works is out now! This book covers the span of projects No.207-266 which started in the years 2002-2004. We are delighted that the full series from Volume 1 to Volume 6 is now available, published by Birkhäuser.

The Complete Works document Herzog & de Meuron as it changes in both scale and processes; the volumes are the most accurate source publication closest to the core of our practice. In the first volumes 1-3 (published 1996, 1997, 2000) more analog working methods and processes are predominant, while in the recent volumes of 4-6 (2009, 2018, 2020) our development into digital tools and design technologies emerge.

From images and process materials selected by project teams, our editorial team assembles narratives to highlight specific aspects and give insight into how a project unfolds.
