472 Royal College of Art Planning Permission Granted by Wandsworth Council

LONDON, UK, 26 January 2018 – Construction of the Royal College of Art (RCA) Battersea South Campus expansion can start. Planning permission has been granted and work will begin on the site in spring 2018.

The Battersea South Campus expansion will be a new centre for the UK and the Royal College of Art’s culture of design innovation and entrepreneurialism at the intersection of science and the arts. Workshops are the nucleus of the college and of the new campus extension. Our design is rooted in the surrounding townscape – it is simple, robust, and flexible, and delivers a formula for the transforming dynamic of the RCA.
