Grand Opening Parade for Calder Gardens

PHILADELPHIA, USA — Calder Gardens marked its opening weekend with a free public parade designed by artist and composer Arto Lindsay. The event featured a wide range of Philadelphia-based performers, including the Sun Ra Arkestra, Pig Iron Theatre, Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, Mad Beatz Philly, and PHonk!.

Beginning at LOVE Park and proceeding along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the parade passed several historic sculptures by members of the Calder family, culminating in a free concert by the Sun Ra Arkestra at Maja Park, across the street from Calder Gardens.
