Herzog & de Meuron

Yasmin Kherad joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2006 and became an Associate in 2012. Since then, she has led many national and international projects as project director, overseeing design from concept until completion. As of 2022, she is the Studio Director of our German offices, working at and commuting between our Berlin office and the headquarters in Basel.

Yasmin is well-versed in many fields – she is experienced in managing winning competitions; projects in all phases and scales; in interior design and urban planning; and has attained specific knowledge in interiors, renovation, and the process of working with listed buildings. She is also part of our recruitment team.

Her list of projects includes office buildings such as Actelion Business Center, Allschwil, hospitality projects like the Volkshaus Basel Hotel and 215 Chrystie – the Public Hotel – in New York, infrastructure projects such as Flinders Street Station competition in Melbourne, urban planning projects such as Masterplan Am Tacheles, Berlin, and competitions such as Hauptpost Basel and Grasbrook, the new city district in Hamburg.

Yasmin earned her degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg, Germany, with distinction in 2004.
