Herzog & de Meuron

Yasmin Kherad joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2006 and became Associate in 2012. Since then, she has led a multitude of national and international projects as project director, overseeing the design from concept until completion. As of 2022, she is Studio Director Germany, working at and commuting between our Berlin office and headquarters in Basel.

Yasmin is versed in many fields and an allrounder: She is experienced in managing winning competitions, in early and late project phases, in small and big scale projects, in interior design and urban planning, and has attained a lot of specific knowledge in interiors, renovation, and working with listed buildings.

She is also part of our recruitment team.

Her list of projects includes office buildings such as Actelion Business Center, Allschwil (2004-2010), hospitality projects like Volkshaus Basel Hotel (2012, 2020), and 215 Chrystie (Public Hotel), New York (2014-2017), infrastructure projects such as Flinders Street Station competition, Melbourne (2013), urban planning projects such as Masterplan Am Tacheles, Berlin (2014– ), and winning competitions such as Hauptpost Basel and Grasbrook, the new city district in Hamburg (competition 2020, 2021–).

Yasmin earned her degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at University of Fine Arts Hamburg, Germany, with distinction in 2004.
