Roman Aebi

Roman Aebi is a professional craftsman and joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2004. Working in the creative hub, Atelier, he is leading the development of objects conceived by the office and is pushing experimental research and design in the fields of furniture making, mock-ups, details, material treatments and model making. During his longstanding career with Herzog & de Meuron Roman has contributed significantly to a vast number of architectural projects and object designs.

Roman began work experience in the construction industry followed by an apprenticeship in metalwork and architectural model building which he completed in 1999. From 1999 until 2003 he worked as an architectural model builder for the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris and Genova.
