Herzog & de Meuron

Linxi Dong joined Herzog & de Meuron in Basel in 2005. From 2005 to 2008 he moved to Herzog & de Meuron’s Beijing office and was responsible for the construction of the National Stadium in Beijing as Project Manager until its completion. Since then, he has led different teams as Project Director on international projects ranging from cultural and educational building to urban planning, including the National Library of Israel, the M+ Museum in Hong Kong, Helvetia Campus in Basel, Gasklocka residential tower in Stockholm, Shantou University Medical College in Shantou, Factory Transformation and the Grand Canal Museum Complex, both in Hangzhou, China. In 2008 he became Associate of the firm.

Linxi graduated from Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2004 and was awarded the BDA Award for his thesis. In 2001 and 2002 he collaborated with Yung Ho Chang/Atelier FCJZ in Beijing, China. In following two years of In 2003 and 2004 he collaborated with Auer Weber Architekten in Stuttgart and Munich, Germany on international cultural and residential projects.
