Herzog & de Meuron

Jan-Christoph Lindert studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt, graduating with Prof. Behnisch (1984). He worked in various offices as a planner and in competitions, in tendering, awarding, cost planning/cost control and as a construction manager as well as a project architect and contract manager for general planning. In October 2007, Jan-Christoph completed the supplementary training in real estate economics at the International Real Estate Business School (IREBS). His involvement with Herzog & de Meuron began in 2008 in Hamburg as project manager on the new Elbphilharmonie building. Jan-Christoph Lindert has been an Associate at Herzog & de Meuron since 2011.

In the Elbphilharmonie project, Jan-Christoph took over the overall project management in January 2012 and represented Herzog & de Meuron as managing director in the Elbphilharmonie planning consortium and as project manager in the artistic supervision.

In January 2017, Jan-Christoph took over the transfer of the Am Tacheles project from Basel to Berlin and established and managed the Herzog & de Meuron Berlin office on site with the project and the team. Since May 2019, Jan-Christoph has also been working as Project Director for the planning of the new building of the Neue Nationalgalerie – Museum des 20. Jahrhunderts at the Berlin Kulturforum.
