Birgit Föllmer

Birgit Föllmer joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2006 and became an Associate in 2019. She began her work at Herzog & de Meuron on the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, leading design development and technical construction aspects for the main concert hall, working in the Basel office after the completion of the Elbphilharmonie in 2016. After being part of the competition team for the Munich Concert Hall, Birgit became Project Manager for the Laboratory Building of the Children’s Hospital Zurich in 2017 currently under construction. Her recent work also includes the University Building Forum UZH Zürich.

Birgit obtained her Diploma in Architecture from the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1994. Prior to joining Herzog & de Meuron, she worked with gmp architects in Hamburg.
