Herzog & de Meuron

Andrea Rüegsegger joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2015 and became Associate in 2019. She started out as a Junior Architect working on Roche Building 2. In 2018, she took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing design aspects and the production of construction documents on the same project. Since then, she has led several projects of various scales in different project phases, ranging from large-scale development schemes to small scale conversions. The geographical focus of her work currently lies in Switzerland. She recurringly works for clients such as Roche and Ricola, with which Herzog & de Meuron has collaborated for more than 20 years. Andrea is engaged in initiatives in the company that foster digital transformation in the daily project business.

Andrea began her studies in Mathematics. She then moved on to Architecture, earning her master’s degree at ETH Zurich in 2014. Right before her graduation, she worked for the Swiss Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale on the exhibition “A stroll through a fun palace”.
