Andrea Erpenbeck

Andrea Erpenbeck joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2014 and became Associate in 2019. Her focus area is the functional organization and knowledge of hospital buildings in coordination with the client, medical planners as well as the internal and external planning team. After eight years of working on the project at the Children’s Hospital Zurich she is now the Project Manager on University Hospital Basel for Clinicum 3.

Beginning her career in architecture with an apprenticeship as a draftswoman, Andrea studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and graduated in 1997. For the next 16 years, she worked as a project manager for KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten in Braunschweig and Munich. During her time in Munich, she developed and established her focus on hospital buildings, from design to completion of a university surgical clinic.
