Three H&dM Projects Win Gutes Bauen Award 2023

MÜNCHENSTEIN, SWITZERLAND — Three projects from Herzog & de Meuron received the Gutes Bauen (Building Well) Award 2023 at a official ceremony held in Münchenstein: Extension Stadtcasino Basel, Roche Building 2, and Hauptsitz Christoph Merian Stiftung.

An independent, international jury of experts spent three days assessing a shortlist of 248 projects submitted by various clients, architects, and planners from the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. The 23 award-winning buildings impressed with their above-average quality in terms of urban planning, architecture, and sustainability.

Organized by cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft, the Gutes Bauen Awards recognize a wide range of projects, from major urban planning interventions to small architectural projects that have been completed in the last five years.
