374 Chäserrugg Awarded Prize for Swiss Landscape of the Year 2021

UNTERWASSER, SWITZERLAND, 30 March 2021 – Toggenburg Bergbahnen TBB AG, the client for Chäserrugg was recently awarded the “Landschaft des Jahres 2021” prize by Stiftung Landschaftsschutz Schweiz.

This “Landscape of the year 2021” prize awarded by the Swiss Foundation for Protected Landscape recognizes the careful renewal of touristic infrastructure in a highly sensitive environment. Within this context, Herzog & de Meuron’s design for five buildings was commended for its precise and sustainable interventions and for a path-breaking project for alpine construction: “an expression of a strategy to develop tourism close to nature and culture”.
