The building is conceived as a technical instrument made-to-order to optimize production processes. Technical facilities, especially ventilation ducts, had to be accessible from both inside and outside through the building’s sheath. Openings necessary for accessibility were distributed throughout the building, without a recognizable compositional principle. The same is true of the windows. The facade’s surfaces, the windows, and entry gates mesh flush to the surface and are only differentiated in the reflection of their materials: stucco painted a metal color for the facade, glass (enameled in some places) for the windows, and aluminum tin for the entry gates.
