Martin Knüsel completed an internship at Herzog & de Meuron in 2000 and returned after his studies to work at the office for the following eight years. His work has included exhibition design to architectural and urban projects, including Ciudad del Flamenco in Jerez, the master plan and Bulevar in Burgos, the storage and apartment building of Helsinki Dreispitz, and Roche Bau 1, both in Basel.

Martin earned his degree in architecture at ETH Zurich in 2003, including an exchange period at Harvard University (with distinction). From 2011 to 2013, he taught at the ETH Future Cities Lab in Singapore. Within the chair of Milica Topalovic, he was responsible for the ETH exhibition project “Constructed Land” shown at the International Architectural Biennale Rotterdam in 2014.
