María Ángeles Lerín Ruesca first joined Herzog & de Meuron in 2002 as an intern. Since 2006, she has worked as an Architect on various international projects at the offices in Basel and Barcelona. She contributed to a wide range of projects in Mexico, Spain, Italy, China and Switzerland, with a focus on cultural and office buildings as well as private houses. These projects include Espacio Goya in Zaragoza; the Barranca Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Tehuamixtle Master Plan in Mexico; the Fondazione Feltrinelli and the Expo Milan 2015 conceptual master plan in Milan; and the installation 14 Rooms, the office building Asklepios 8 on the Novartis Campus and the expansion of the Helvetia Campus in Basel.

 

María Ángeles studied Architecture at the University ETSA in Seville and at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in Naples, and graduated in Seville in 2005.
