One Wood Wharf Design Unveiled
LONDON, UK, 10 December 2013 – Designs for the One Wood Wharf tower have been unveiled as part of an outline planning application that has been submitted to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for the redevelopment of Wood Wharf, the eight-hectare site adjacent to Canary Wharf in London. The overall Wood Wharf masterplan includes a mix of new homes, offices, retail and community uses, as well as new parks and public squares. One Wood Wharf is a new residential tower part of this development and will be located by the water on the most south westerly corner of the new site. The 55-storey building will mediate between the city and the individual, public and private and will inject a new component of daily residential life into the evolving mixed-use Canary Wharf district. It will be a symbol and the heart of the new Wood Wharf urban quarter, an extension of a dynamic community, and the start of a new neighbourhood.
