Contribution to 'Building M+: The Museum and Architecture Collection' ArtisTree, TaiKoo Place, Hong Kong Exhibition 10 January – 9 February 2014

HONG KONG, 20 December 2013 – As the first architecture exhibition organised by M+, Hong Kong's new museum for visual culture in West Kowloon Cultural District, this exhibition showcases the competition-winning building design by Herzog & de Meuron, with TFP Farrells and Ove Arup & Partners HK, and will also present the museum’s growing architecture collection with over 100 works and materials dating from the 1920s until now. Starting with an overview  of the selection process by an international jury, the exhibition will reveal the ongoing development of the 60,000 square-metre M+ building as it progresses towards its scheduled completion in late 2017.

Herzog & de Meuron’s contribution will feature models, diagrams, renderings and projections that highlight the project’s core features. A newly-produced video and other materials will lend additional insight into the architects’ design process, the M+ building, and the many ways in which it will engage and contribute to Hong Kong’s cultural and urban landscape. In conjunction with the exhibition, M+ also hosts a series of free programmes including a public talk by Jacques Herzog on 9 Jan 2014.
