BASEL, SWITZERLAND, 21 January 2012 - In European cities that have grown organically over centuries, especially in small-scaled Switzerland, the question of scale of big buildings is an important issue. Do large-scale visionary plans fit such cities? Architects and planners Jacques Herzog (Herzog & de Meuron, Basel) Winy Maas (MVRDV, Rotterdam) and Richard Burdett (London) give keynote speeches and discuss the handling of big buildings in small cities with moderator Judit Solt (editor-in-chief of Tec21 magazine). The speeches and discussion will be in English.
Saturday 21st January 2012, 11h00 - 13h00, Messe Basel, Swissbau Focus, Hall 1.2, Basel
