Ricola Kräuterzentrum is Breaking Ground LAUFEN, SWITZERLAND, 23. January 2013- Today’s ground break marks the start of construction of the Ricola Kräuterzentrum. Continuing the long-term collaboration between Herzog & de Meuron and Ricola started in 1980, the Ricola Kräuterzentrum is the seventh building that Herzog & de Meuron are going to realise for the Swiss company. Previously realised projects for Ricola include the
Ricola Storage Building (1987), the
Ricola-Europe SA (1993) and the
Ricola Marketing Building (1999). The new building consists of locally sourced clay components manufactured in the surroundings. With this new facility, Ricola brings together their traditional herb storage and handling processes. Planned completion is expected for 2014.
